to PulseMediaGroup the UK magazines is predicted to rise between 1% and 0.5%.
This is mainly due to the rise of smartphones and tablet devices. This can be
further reinforced by the greater availability of high-speed broadband,
streaming and downloading of content becoming ever more popular. Magazine
publishers have used innovation to interact with their readers and audiences.
This is done by using campaign specific links and printed advertisements that
are interactive. This is significant as this would attract attention and brand awareness.
The
UK magazine industry has changed, this is by the emphasised by Covid-19
pandemic forcing the UK magazine industry to shift to an online presence. However,
due to the shift to online magazines certain niches of the industry have been
heavily affected, such as men’s magazines. This is because of the rapid
popularity of social media apps such as Instagram. This is significant as this

by consumer expenditure falling to £669m in 2020.

the main/ leading producers of the UK magazine industry are Bauer Media Group
with a total circulation of 126.08 copies, whilst controlling an estimated 37%
of the market share, therefore making it the UK’s leading magazine media
publisher. Whilst Bauer Media Group are the largest UK magazine media publisher,
Immediate Media Company also share a large proportion of the UK magazine market.
This is due to having a circulation of just over 50 million. This is due to having
ownership of BBC Good Food, Top of The Pops, Simply Sewing and Radio Times.
Compared
to the news Industry and despite a number of takeovers and buyouts the magazine
industry is still diverse and varied compared to newspapers due to magazine
media reaching 76% of adults in the UK each month.
